Default Wow! Great way to retrieve lost scores!

My computer crashed and I lost all my saved level sets. I thought I had them backed up but apparently I didn't. I figured they were gone for good. I got Rich Diamond working again on my computer, found all my Level Set Codes on the CoreGames website and installed all of my previously purchased level sets. I was in the mood to play the game so I started playing the "Richie" set because I knew it was an easy one. Well, easy to solve, but not that easy matching some of the high scores. I printed out the Leaderboard list for Richie and started solving all the levels from scratch. Some of them were quite difficult. I couldn't find the "missing" 20 points that others had found. And what's worse is that I had previously had a better score but this time around I just couldn't figure out how I did it. So I finished the set and uploaded my scores to the Leaderboard. After the scores uploaded, I got a message stating that I had previously uploaded a better score for a few of the levels. I was allowed to download my previous solution. Amazing! Saved me a lot of time wracking my brain. The interesting thing about playing these levels again from scratch is that sometimes you see things differently when you've been away from the game for awhile. I managed to set new high scores on a few of the levels which surprised my because I thought these were pretty much "maxed out" at this point. One of the levels was a "how did I not see that last time" kind of thing when I beat the high score. Anyway, just wanted to pass along this tip if anyone ever accidentally loses or deletes their saved game file.

thanks TWM this is nice to know.
and more reason for people to upload there saves.
i hope that in the future it will bepossible also to erasse one of your saves in a set.
in my uploads there are e few errors (wrong high scores) and i don't want to replay the whole set for one wrong score.
thanks again
greetings henk

Hey Henk! Good to see you're still around. I agree with you about the wrong high scores. I've seen a couple of mistakes on the Leaderboard. Out of curiosity I was looking at the high scores for the original 80 levels of Rich Diamond. I think we've all realized that Gaga has gotten some incredible and unbeatable scores on many, if not all, of the various levels over the years. But managing to score 15,220 on Level 1 of the original Level Set is an extremely impressive feat considering the level only has a handful of diamonds and one BugEye!

Question Question for TWM

Lee's question about Lost in Maze from User Level 2 peaked my curiosity and got me working on both User Levels.
I know these go back to the early history of RD.
Was wondering if you put these sets together back when you had a fan site or
did Mitja??
Any ideas on the designers of these "hair-pulling out creations"
Wish they could be added to Leaderboard so we could all compare scores
Thanks,
Diane

Diane-
Those were part of the Level Sets that I put together way back in the day when I had my Rich Diamond fansite. I have no idea who contributed what to each level set. There were a few of us making levels back then and all I remember is that some of them were incredibly difficult. I was surprised that the folks at CoreGames didn't use some of those levels in their Level Sets. They were really well designed. But I can understand them not wanting to put them in their Level Sets and selling them when they're available for free if you know where to look. I had to go to Mitja's site to re-download them myself. I can't believe how many Level Sets there are on that site! So many levels! Amazing!
