This is a game where you fight thru the covenant and the Flood
Quick story -
Spartan 229 crashes on the ring due to a Tyrant
He quickly gets out of the burning Pelican to not burn but sees all us fellow marines dead some crushed by the wings and some killed by a needler
He finds 3 grunts staring at a crate he kills them and so his journey starts he runs and tries to find a way off the ring due to lack of teammates but then he stumbles into a covenant excavation site he goes in guns n blazing shooting all the covies he kills them all and follows thru the tunnel created by the excavation site he goes in and ends out near a forerunner facility he goes in only to find more covies he kills them all and finds that there is a forerunner ai on the ring that could possibly cure Cortana's rage he tries to find out where it is but he hears gun fight out side he goes out side and sees a new threat he had never seen before the FLOOD
i tried fitting in ur story "travel back to the ring and fight Covenant who stayed behind and Flood that is still there to get to a station
where there is this information. Maybe like back to the Library or something. Then he gets it and Cortana is still functioning enough where she can "heal" herself."
